How Can I Build Up Credit?
I’m a college student and I’m trying to start building my credit, a of right now I have 0 credit history. I applied for a Discover card and got rejected because of no credit history, I was told to apply for a Target card which I did and again was rejected because of no credit history. How am I suppose to start building credit if I can’t get any type of card? Which card would be more likely to accept me?
The main reason I am trying to get credit is so I can switch my cell phone over into my name, it is currently in my dads, and the T-Mobile company said until I can show proof of credit it can’t be in my name
-Checking account
-Cell phone bill
-Try getting your parents to open a card with you as an authorized user
-A prepaid credit card, and/or very low limit credit card (i.e. $300) to start
