About my personal information on PSN (Playstation Network)…?
Now, I am aware that the PSN is currently down and under maintenance because of a hacker trying to get into the system.
But, what I’m worried about is whether or not any of my personal information has been stolen. From my PS3 downloads to my credit card information, or even my own identity. But I may be exaggerating… I don’t know. And I have recently got an email from PSN itself that they told me what I have explained so far. But I can tell it’s spam, and possibly the hacker’s own doing, so he/she can dive deeper into my personal information.
Is there any way to check and see if my personal information is still intact or safe? And what about ensuring it’s protection?

So far, there’s been several sources, coming from both Sony and the banks, suggesting that actual credit card information hasn’t been compromised.
But as personal information may have been hacked, the suggested course of action is to be wary of e-mails, phone call, etc asking for senstive information,
and, obviously monitor your credit card statement and notify the bank if something odd does show up (if it was fraud then you wont be liable as long as you notify them in time – about 60 days i hear)
and make sure the password you used for PSN isn’t the same as you use for other things – especially your email.
