Credit Card Debt Help Tips
Credit Card Debt is a tricky slope to get back off of. Once you are in debt, you want to get out of it as soon as possible. You want to get rid of that as soon as possible. But if it is already low, then there are things you can do to change it.
Having a piece of paper in front of you with all your debt written on it can help a ton. It is easier to look through and decipher what you need to pay off first and what you can put off until after that first stuff is taken care of. And even though this may sound dumb, paying off your credit card with another credit card is not a great idea.
One really effective way to lower credit card debt is by using the snowball effect. This effective technique has you pay off the smallest debt first and then move to the next largest and the next until it is finally paid off. It is nice to be able to look back at that sheet and see the debt slowly dwindle away. It says take 10% of your earnings and give it to your debt. The other 90% pay bills or do with it as you will.
One other older method of ending credit card drama is to cut them up entirely. Or you can shred them if you have a credit card shredder. Putting them in a block of ice can also be very effective, because you wont want to sit there and melt the ice away. That would take forever. When you are ready you can always apply for new credit cards.
There is also the option of going out and getting a part time job or creating/joining a work at home business. This brings a little extra cash to your pocket. You can use this to help pay off the debt or you can use it to get the essentials like gas and food. Getting a part time job might be a little more difficult if you already have one job, but the work from home alternative is very easy and effective.
The last option is to file for bankruptcy. If this is the option that is chosen just know that your credit will be ruined for upwards of 10 years. It is also recommended to research and find a good bankruptcy attorney who can explain to you everything that is going to happen when you apply for this.
If credit card debt is affecting your life and you have creditors calling you, don’t ignore the calls. They work with you to help cut your payment in half or at least set up a payment plan. This whole process take s a while, but is completely worth it in the end.

Does it help being an authorized user of a credit card build credit history?
I want my wife to build her credit history, will it help her if I name her an authorized user of my credit card? Will the credit card company ask me for her data? The reason I ask this is because I noticed that when giving her an additional credit card the credit card company won’t ask her data? So which is best, giving her an additional credit card or making her an authorized user? Thanks for the help, I’m from another country and I’m trying to build credit history.
Yes & No.
#1 – Add her as Authorized user, but add her social number on it or else it won’t get reported into her credit.
#2 – NEVER add her as Joint user, because you can’t take it off later, they will make u close the account if you want her off.
#3 – After you add her, never go over 30% of the credit limit or else it will hurt her score and overall credit rating.
Add like 3 or 4 credit cards to her name and you will see her credit score jump up to like 700-800 Fico. I do it all the time =)
