Credit card info keeps getting stolen for match.com?
I had a fraudulent charge on my debit card from Match.com. I filed the police report, closed my card, got a reissued one and all was well. Figured it was either stolen by a cashier or online since I do make a lot of online purchases with that card. Today I looked and found another match.com fraud charge on a completely different credit card. The kick is, I haven’t used this card in over 2 years! I’m just paying it off so I’ve never bought anything online with it, haven’t used it in public in 2+ years. I’ve run every sort of virus scan possible on my computer. My wireless is encrypted and secure. Any idea how they are getting all my card info? Thanks for advice!
The only way I access the card I’m paying off online is through the companies website. Just to occasionally see my balance going down (it’s motivating). That’s when I caught this charge. And this is a major player in the market, not a small cc company.
If you’ve never used the card online, then how could it be your computer? Yet your card was used on Match.com You’ve got me on this one. If you’ve never used the card on your computer and you are sure about that then it’s not your computer. Is it possible that you used the card a long time ago on your computer? There are a couple of nasty rootkits that can steal information and hide from a anti-virus software and I would tell you what to get, but no point if you’ve never used the card online.
You might want to check your credit reports and see if anything strange has been going on. They will tell if there has been requests for your info or if someone has open a account. Here the link to the site where you can get your credit reports once a year for free. This is the only safe site to use for a free credit report. Note they are Verisign Secured

If that’s the case don’t use the site I’ve given you. You have had the card online so that means if your computer is infected they could have access to your information. The site I’ve given you is safe, but you don’t want to put in your SS# on a infected computer. If you want more help, I will need your current OS xp vista or windows 7 and then I can tell you some steps to take.
