How do I get already paid off bad credit off my credit report?
I paid off 2 charged off credit cards and an outstanding personnel loan about 2 years ago. I didn’t think at the time to tell them i’d pay it off if they would take it off my credit report. So how do i go about it after the fact? Do i call the orginal creditor and ask them to remove it? or do i dispute it even though i know i was in the wrong then too?
If it says that you still owe money and you have paid it I would contact the company and ask them why it is not up to date. They may just have not updated it. If it says that there is a 0 balance and shows the late payments you can’t do anything about it and it will come off by it self after 7 years.
