How often do credit cards send info to the credit reporting agencies?
I just paid off two cards in anticipation of applying for a loan. I’d like those cards to show up as zero balance on my credit report. How often are these reports updated? Should I call them and ask them to send an update? How long will I need to wait for these to be recorded as zero balance. Thanks!
Most credit cards update to credit bureaus monthly — and not necessarily to each credit bureau on the same day.
You can call but it is highly unlikely the credit card company will bother manually updating your account. The updates are all computerized.
