Effective 1 OCT 07, the federal government passed a law capping interest rates on certain kinds of loans (i.e., payday and rapid refund loans) for active duty military. Wondering if H&R Block will still offer the Rapid Refund loan to active duty military clients.
You can change your withholding to reduce the size your refund and reduce the temptation to take a refund anticipation loan. With direct deposit you should get your money in at most a couple weeks, so the interest rate is ridiculous.
