Ways To Get Rid Of Debt

Today in the midst of an economic crisis, millions of Americans are finding themselves strapped with credit card debts that they can’t manage. For many they have come to the place that if they pay off their monthly bills, there is nothing left to put food on the table. Add to that the loss of their job, and many have taken the lives of their family members and their own life as well. This is the way to get rid of your credit card debts.

Get rid of your credit cards with the highest interest rates. Contact the credit card companies of those cards, and inform them to close your account so it can’t be used anymore. Let them know that you are planning to pay it off as quickly as possible. If you want to have a card for emergencies, keep the one with the best interest rate, but don’t carry it with you.

Make a commitment to yourself that you are going to do everything in your power to become debt free. Come to the place where you understand that you must sacrifice in order to meet your goal.

Make a budget and don’t go over it. Write down all of your monthly expenses and approximately how much you have to spend for each one. Look over your list and see where you can cut expenses. For now, leave just the things that are necessary for daily living and your monthly bills.

Remember that your goal is not to spend anything that isn’t totally necessary. If you don’t go shopping and if you don’t surf the web for special buys, you won’t spend money. Stay home, and only use the computer for free games or research. Don’t even spend on things you enjoy. For now, you must tighten your belt, and live as cheaply as you can.

Begin to pay down your debt. Choose the card with the highest interest rate and work to pay it off first. Just pay the minimum on the other cards. Look for odd jobs in order to have more money to help you pay it off faster. Once you finish that card, add the money you were paying on the first card to the minimum payment on the second card, and pay it off. Continue doing the same thing with each of your cards.

It wasn’t hard at all for you to get in debt. In fact, it probably happened faster than you realized. Now you will have to dig in your heels, and with an unprecedented determination, do everything you can to get out of debt. Follow these suggestions, and your debt will begin to disappear.

How do military widows pay off their homes?

I was wondering what happens to military widows when their husband’s die? I know in the Army they receive the SGLI which is worth $400,000. However, if she and her husband purchased a home before he died, would her mortgage be paid off without her having to use the SGLI? I heard that many mortgage life insurance companies won’t pay off a service member’s mortgage if he dies in combat. Is this true? Is there a mortgage company that offers a life insurance that doesn’t exclude soldier’s who are killed in combat?

Most commercial life insurance policies do not cover death as and act of war.
SOme do not cover military specialties.
I could not buy commercial life insurance at any cost, because I was a Military aircrew member. None would even talk to me.
You have to read all the fine print. They still have the SGLI payment, That should pay off most homes the GIs could afford.
